Use the format below when you want to write a friendly letter. Be sure to include the correct punctuation!

Letter Grading Checklist...Do you have???


  • Salutation - Dear character,
  • Three paragraphs separated by space or indented?
  • Intro paragraph of 2-3 sentences
  • Body paragraph of 4-6 sentences
  • Closing paragraph of 2-3 sentences
  • Closing - Sincerely, with your character name underneath**
    • Other closings you can use are: Regards, Yours truly, Always,
  • Accurate spelling of names and all words
  • Proper punctuation
